CII Delhi State Annual Session and Business Conference: Vision 2020
Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi

A Conference on “Business Conference: Vision 2020” was organized by Confederation of Indian Industries on 12th March’2015 at Hotel LeMeridien, New Delhi. Dr. Sahab Singh, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Studies from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended it.

The objective of this meet was to discuss the primary issues and their elimination through the best suitable practices for making business friendly environment in Delhi by inviting foreign industries, eminent academicians, ministers, secretarial staff and policy makers for a high level interaction.

Session 1: Inaugural Session

Shri. Manish Sisodia, Honorable Deputy Chief Minister of NCT of Delhi, welcomed wholeheartedly all gathering and thanked to CII for inviting him to this forum for a healthy and fruitful discussion for making Delhi a hub of education and industry for a sustainable economic development of the state, in his key address.

Mr. Arjun Wallia, Chairman-CII Delhi State Council, extended his profound wishes to distinguished guests, delegates, media representatives and audience for being there in his inaugural speech. He stated that goals of CII are align with the goals of Government of NCT of Delhi and even after political uncertainty in the state we truly have achieved an unbelievable rate of growth during the financial year 2014-15.

Mr. Shreekant Somany, Deputy Chairman-CII Northern Region Council, addressed his sincere thanks to Mr. Wallia for his throughout all time support to the organization and managing all necessary meetings with government officials for bringing Delhi on the top state of the country in the globe.

 

Session 2: Business Session

Shri. Satyendra Jain, Honorable Minister of Industries, Health and Power of NCT of Delhi, has shown his keen interest sincerely in the private public partnership collaboration to make Delhi a world class city and to create a new history of economic development across the nation, in his speech. Further he said that we need to be very look forward and visionary in this regards. Moreover, he trusted that Delhi will come on the path of success shortly and we will make it a carbon free place for a healthy living within the 5 years period of our legislation.

 

Dr. Alka Kaul, Vice Chairman-CII Delhi State Council, believed that state government is committed and focused upon the improvement of Basic Infrastructure, Industry, Health, Power and power of the NCT.

 

Ms. Shakuntala D Gamlin, Principal Secretary of Industries, Health and Power of NCT of Delhi, has presented the views of ministry concerned that Delhi is an attractive investment destination and focusing on promoting knowledge, bringing new industrial policies, simplification of procedures and creation of appropriate institutions for facilitating industries. Still, there is a lot to be done but this will help Delhi leverage its advantages to the fullest.

 

The forum was open to all for question and answer and event came to an end with the concluding remarks of Dr. Alka Kaul that state will overcome from the hurdles and will attain the desired goals of growth and development in all spheres if the discussion could have been converted in to the reality and application.
