A one day visit to Microsoft Corporation (I) Pvt. Ltd., Gurgaon was organized by Department of Computer Science & Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida for the students of Computer Science & Engineering and Information Technology on 21st March, 2015.

25 students from the above said engineering disciplines got the opportunity to experience the work culture in Microsoft.

During the visit Mr. S. Chandrasekhar, Group Director, Government Affairs & Public Policy- Microsoft India addressed the students. He took the students on a tour of the Microsoft facility where the students got to witness the state of the art infrastructure of Microsoft and the different technologies being presently practiced by Microsoft.

Further he interacted with all the students and promptly replied to all the queries posed by the students. During this interactive session he emphasized the students to transform themselves from cyber coolies to professionals. He reiterated the fact that in depth knowledge of technology and ability to express oneself, creative and innovative thinking are the need of the hour to prosper in the IT industry today. He emphasized on more of practical exposure for all the students to inculcate and promote creative thinking amongst the students to make them employable and assets to the IT industry.

This visit indeed served as an inspiration to the students to become self-motivated and work hard to achieve their goals and strive to become successful engineers.
