With a hearty desire and dream to assist the next generation with success and in turn, assist them in discovering consequential uses of their own innovative technology, Department of Information Technology conducted a workshop on "Android Applications and PHP" on 29th of October, 2012 .

The workshop was conducted by the resource persons from CETPA, Noida. Students from Department of Information Technology and Department of Computer Science attended the workshop.

The first session focused on PHP in the current scenario for developing web applications using open source web technologies which brings along many benefits for the convenience of the clients. It is based on LAMP technology which is a combination of Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. Students got to know that about 70% web technology uses PHP where PHP code is usually embedded into HTML. The PHP Application development with open source has also proved to be quiet cost effective and quick return on investment is gained.

The session on Android Application focused on its special characteristics which is a one stop shop/platform providing a flexible platform to develop next Gen applications. The application developed ranges from asset tracking to advertising, GPS to multimedia, and messaging to gaming applications.

The workshop ended with a Vote of Thanks to the resource persons.
