MOON BEVERAGES LIMITED

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized an Industrial Visit to “Moon Beverages Limited , Ghaziabad on 20th October 2015. Twenty students of 1st Year (CSE / IT / CSIT) along with Dr. S. K. Srivastava, Professor visited the plant .The objective of the Industrial visit was to enhance technical and practical knowledge about Manufacturing Unit and steps involved in production of Beverages (Coke ),like Bottles, Canes, etc.

Mr. Darpan Sharma, Manager, Moon Beverages Limited gave brief introduction about the Industry which is manufacturing unit of Coke Products (Thumps Up, Maaza, Limca etc ). He showed the students video on “Moon Beverages Limited” to give an insight into the functioning of the plants and implemented giant and robust machinery and Robots. He explained the physics behind the manufacturing of bottles like injection molding and detailed the chemical composition as well as the importance of labeling the bottles.

The General Manager of Quality, Mr. Samarendra Dass explained and showcased the functioning of the plant and every aspects of their products, which are the vital organ of the plant.

Procedure involved in manufacturing Cola Drinks

1. Water Treatment Plant : Various methods were equipped for the filtration of water. They discussed in full detail about the technique involved (RO, Uv, varying size filter, etc.)

2. Production of Beverages : Mixing of flavor and sweetener.

3. Mixing of CO2

4. Use of Preservatives

5. Bottles washing Plant : seven chamber cleaning process.

6. Selection of the bottles

7. Packing and sealing labeling of bottle

8. Waste water treatment plant

The visit concluded with questionnaire where Mr Darpan sharma cleared the doubts of the students regarding cola products, their negative popularity in media and steps taken to overcome them. This Industrial visit was highly informative and interactive. In the end gifts (prize) were distributed to active and interactive students who participated in the interactive session held by Industrial Leaders.
