Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized a workshop on “Holistic Stress Management” in association with Om Shanti Retreat Centre for B. Tech. I year students on 29th August 2013. The objective of this workshop was to the discuss on approaches to manage the stress in a way that takes into account the mind, body and spirit. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Balram Talreja a renowned yoga therapist.

The workshop focussed on the importance of meditation, self-control, balance in emotions, positive thinking in one’s success, health, social and behavioral development etc. so that the students can contribute their best to the services of society and Nation.

Mr. Talreja enlightened the students regarding the value of disciplined life-style. He recommended simplicity, co-operation, honesty, integrity, purity and peace for a balanced and peaceful life. He also deliberated that Holistic Stress Management is to consider all the things that make up a healthy life. He said that we should ask ourselves if we are doing all we can to support stress symptom relief in terms of what we eat and drink. The way we sleep, think, care for ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally, builds an individual identity.

Mr. Talreja conducted several stress management activities to show the students how they can relieve themselves of stresses and concentrate on their studies. He shared his spiritual experiences with the students.
