Industrial Visit on ECO - VISION Pvt. Ltd., Greater Noida

An Industrial Visit to ECOVISION Pvt. Ltd., Surajpur, Greater Noida was organized by Department of Civil Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida under the aegis of Association of Geospatial Industries (AGI) on 7th April 2017. Four students from 1st Year Civil Engineering and Twenty Seven students of 2nd Year Civil Engineering along with Ms. Deepti Singh, Assistant Professor - Department of Civil Engineering and Mr. Anurag Sharma, Assistant Professor - Department of Mechanical Engineering visited the Industry.

 

Mr. Avadhesh Srivastava-General Manager and Mr. Manoj - Chief coordinator from ECOVISION Pvt. Ltd. welcomed the students. Mr. Avadhesh gave an overview of the products exclusively developed and manufactured by Eco-vision Limited. He explained the process for the production of Eco - friendly Fly - ash Bricks manufactured at the site. Use of Fly-ash as a raw material in bricks production is the new concept. Fly-ash is the waste material of thermal power plants. He explained the difference between these new bricks and the pre-existing red bricks that are being used since years. He briefly explained the various factors related to the fly-ash bricks i.e. use, difference from other types of Bricks in Strength, Workability, Mix Proportions, Weight and Cost.

 

Mr. Manoj explained the vision of the firm, Eco-Vision is an initiative to restore the balance and harmony with nature's elements; creating an Organization Endeavoring for a Greener World. He said that Eco-Vision started in 1998 from a rented barren land. Today the organization has a wide platform from mining, crushing and production range of Eco Friendly, Cost Effective, Sustainable, Customized, Construction and Home Decor Solutions.

 

Further, Mr. Manoj continued the session with the discussion on the production process of various products like paver blocks, domes, vitrified tiles, locking blocks along with the machinery used. He laid emphasis on the material availability along with the ecofriendly production of the bricks i.e. without use of kilns. Mr. Manoj demonstrated products manufactured at the site like tiles and pavers available in all shape, designs and color according to the need of the market and the customer. Session concluded with discussion on doubts and queries raised by students.

 

The visit was useful and students took keen interest in learning the production techniques of new types of low cost, eco-friendly construction materials. Students got a glimpse of domes, pavers and tiles in different shapes and sizes present at the site.
