  Two Week “Analog Electronics Workshop”
  Organized by IIT Bombay / Kharagpur
  Under the
  National Mission on Education through ICT
  (MHRD, Govt. of India)
  4th to 14th June 2013
 
 
 

A Two Week Analog Electronics Workshop was organized in association with IIT Bombay / Kharagpur under the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (MHRD, Govt. of India) at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida from 4th to 14 th June 2013.

 

Inaugurating the workshop, Prof. Somnath Sen Gupta (Head, CET IIT Kharagpur) welcomed all the participants and faculty members. He stressed on the upliftment of the quality teaching.

 

The inaugural session was conducted by Prof. A. S. Dhar, IIT Kharagpur who delivered a lecture on basic concepts on Analog Electronics.

 

Following contents were covered in workshop:

1. Semiconductor Devices (BJT and MOSFET) and Multi stage amplifiers.

2. Current Mirror and Differential amplifier.

3. Feedback: Basic configurations and Practical amplifier circuits using negative feedback.

4. Stability and Oscillators and Power amplifiers.

 

During the afternoon session the respective labs and interactive session on related topics were held on each day of the workshop. During the workshop the participants had to partake quiz.

 

A demo session on OSCAD tool (a freeware from IIT Bombay) was also conducted.

 

Encouraging the participants on the final day, Prof. Somnath Sen Gupta said that faculty should emphasize more on innovative learning.
