Industrial visit to Elite Engineers, Surajpur Industrial Area, Greater Noida was organized by Mechanical Engineering Department for VII semester students on 14th October 2011 (Friday). Thirty students of VII semester (ME) with three faculty members visited the industry.

Industrial visit was organized to provide real life exposure to students about knowledge of high end automated injection moulding systems and its applications. The first Technical Session was conducted by Mr. Mahesh Tyagi from Elite Engineers. He gave introduction and overview of Elite Engineers and explained to the students about the automation used in Injection Moulding Process. Mr. Tyagi also discussed the difference between Programmable logic Controllers (PLC) and manual Part Programming in CNC machines.

In Technical Session II students were guided through the factory explaining how the entire manufacturing operations take place. The actual working of Automated Injection Moulding process was also shown to the students. Various products produced by the industry were also shown with minute details of design and manufacturing. Students were also told about various quality control measures taken by Elite Engineers to achieve the desired quality level.

In the last a question answer session was conducted to access the knowledge gained by the students during the visit.

Mr. A. D. Pandey (M.D.) Elite Engineers, agreed to accommodate 4-5 students for undertaking a live project on quality control.

The industrial visit at Elite Engineers was informative and helpful in providing real life exposure to state of-the-art systems used in the industry. Industrial visit proved to be learning and fruitful experience for both students and facultymembers.
