DRONACHARYA GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, GREATER NOIDA
	Student Support Wing of Indian Industries Association Inauguration
	14th February, 2014


The Student Support Wing of Indian Industries Association (IIA) at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida was formally inaugurated in a glorius ceremony held on 14th February, 2014 in the Institute Seminar Hall.

At 2:00 PM Mr. Sharavan Kumar Sharma, IAS ( Retd.), Ex. Commissioner (Meerut) presided over the function as the Chief Guest, Mr. A.D. Pandey, Chairman IIA Greater Noida Chapter, Guest of Honour. Prof (Dr.) M S Murali, Director DGI Greater Noida, Prof. B L Kaul, Registrar DGI Greater Noida alongwith other dignarities from IIA and faculty members were welcomed by student representative with Tilak. Mr. Sharavan Kumar Sharma unveiled the plaque. The function started with Ganesh Stuti and lighting of lamp by Chief Guest, Director and other dignitaries.

At the outset Prof. D. V. Bhise, HOD Mechanical Engineering Department highlighted aim and purpose of Student Support Wing of Indian Industries Association and also efforts put in by IIA and authorities of our institutes to materialize this initiative. He hoped that this wing will benefit the student in years to come in many ways and also be a platform and interface between local industries and our institute. Both IIA and DGI Greater Noida can share knowledge and experience for mutual benefits.

*Prof (Dr.) M S Murali* welcomed the Chief Guest and delegates from IIA and wished success to Student Support Wing. He thanked and congratulated all concerned whose efforts helped in materializing this unique concept of a common platform between industries and institute to share their expertise and experiences. He also hope that this student support wing will benefit student in making them successful engineers and entrepreneurs in coming years.

*Mr. A. D. Pandey* acclaimed efforts and interest taken by DGI Greater Noida in conceptualizing such unique platform between industries and Institute. He mentioned about emerging relationship between IIA and DGI Greater Noida which he said will go strength to strength over a period of time. He said that IIA & DGI may hold seminar together to share views and experiences for mutual benefit. This unique initiative of the institute will be great advantage to the local industries that will get trained engineers.

Mr.Vipin Mahna, Joint Secretary IIA Greater Noida mentioned that technical education is not complete unless it is supplemented by practical experiences of the ground for which internship or summer training in the industrial house is mandatory for the student. He mentioned that IIA is association of more than 6000 industries, and hub of industries located in NCR area will welcome student for required training and other programs for grooming Students of DGI Greater Noida.

*Mr. B. P. Sharma*, Advisor IIA Greater Noida suggested that the students should become successful entrepreneur which he said is not possible only with classroom studies but needs training, experience and exposure of industries. The student support wing of IIA would be a launching pad for potentially entrepreneurs from DGI Greater Noida. He also talked about importance of intellectual property rights particularly in context of budding entrepreneurs.

Mr. Sharavan Kumar Sharma laid emphasis on technical education coupled with practical experience and particular reference to national demographic dividends. He said that we are likely to have an average age of entire population as 29 years only after 5 to 6 years but in a most populated nation having fifty percent of which living below the poverty line. In such a scenario our youth with technical education has to take extra initiative to counter these challenges and forum like student support wing of IIA may go long way for grooming these technocrats to expected levels.
Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) a presentation on Consultancy Development Centre for which franchisee has been taken by DGI Greater Noida. He explained objectives and benefits of the programme to the audience and advised the guests from IIA to get benefitted by detailing as many delegates as possible. Mr. A D Pandey promised to detail at least thirty delegates soon.
The student support wing of IIA was declared open by Mr. Sharavan Kumar Sharma and Prof. (Dr.) M S Murali jointly by unveiling the certificate.
The programme came to an end with vote of thanks by Prof.G R Tyagi.
