Seminar on Cloud Computing and its use to enhance Engineering Education

A seminar on Cloud Computing and its ply to Enhance Engineering Education was held on 1st July, 2013 at Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. This meet was based on Cloud based ecosystem for active learning to inflate the education being proclaimed to all the students throughout Uttar Pradesh from 1st July 2013. This event was attended by 20 attendees from educational fraternity with diverse educational backgrounds. Mr. Divyanshu Sinha, Assistant Professor from CSE Department Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida was delegated for this coveted event.

 

The event was officiated over by Prof. S. K. Kak, Vice Chancellor, Mahamaya Technical University, Noida. He disclosed that the focus of regulating this seminar was to improve quality and global relevance of engineering education.

 

The inaugural session comprised of a floral welcome of Honourable guest Dr. Krishna Vedula, Professor of Chemical Engineering and Dean Emeritus, Francis College of Engineering, University of Massachusetts Lowell Executive Director of the Indo-US Collaboration in Engineering Education (IUCEE) by Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. S.K. Kak.

 

Prof. Kak in his speech mentioned the certitude that his aim was to eliminate the barrier of language from education and at the same time making knowledge easily and readily available to the students.

 

Dr. Krishna Vedula recognized globally for his contributions to engineering education, research, administration and outreach is currently a co-founder and executive director of the Indo-US Collaboration in Engineering Education (IUCEE) facilitated by American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). In his Articulation he spotlighted the focus of IUCEE. He betrayed that IUCEE is functioning towards quality improvisation and global relevance of engineering education in India and US. At the time of inscription He also pointed out that for the past four years, IUCEE has facilitated interactions between several hundreds of US faculties and Indian faculties. He stressed on using the cloud infrastructure inorder to improve the quality of engineering education globally by lubricating network among engineering institutions across the world.

 

The session culminated with a vote of thanks by Prof S.K. Kak. He strongly ingeminated to create an environment of excellence in Engineering, Technology and Management education.
