ONLINE PLACEMENT TEST

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted the Online Placement Test for Cognizant Technology Solutions on March 20th, 2015 for B. Tech All Branches - Batch 2014.

Cognizant Technology Solutions is an American multinational corporation that provides custom information technology, consulting and business process outsourcing services. It is headquartered in Teaneck, New Jersey, United States. Cognizant is included in the NASDAQ-100 and the S&P 500 indices. Originally founded as an in-house technology unit of Dun & Bradstreet in 1994, Cognizant started serving external clients in 1996. Cognizant's IPO was launched in 1998, after a series of corporate splits and restructures of its parent companies, the first software services firm to be listed on the Nasdaq. During the dot com bust, it grew by accepting the application maintenance work that the bigger players were unwilling to perform. Gradually, it ventured into application development, complex systems integration and consulting work. Cognizant saw a period of fast growth during the 2000s, becoming a Fortune 500 company in 2011. In 2011, the Fortune magazine named it as the world's third most admired IT Services Company after Accenture and IBM.

DGI was the center of the online test for the candidates from Delhi/NCR. Mr. Pawan Kumar with his 6 member TEAM from Aspiring Minds visited the premises with his TEAM to facilitate the event. The test was held in the computer labs of DGI. This was scheduled in 3 slots. The first slot started at 10:30 AM, second slot was scheduled at 12:00 PM and third slot was scheduled at 1:30 PM.

The process started with the registration of the students and checking their hall tickets.

Post registration, the students took the test. This test was on the same model of Aspiring Minds adaptability test. The total duration of the test was 60 Minutes The students from all the branches of B. Tech actively participated in the test and brain wracked the test.

The event turned out with over 700 students trying to be a part of this Fortune 500 companies called Cognizant. The final result of the placement activity is still awaited.
