Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized Entrepreneurship Program “E-week 2015” from 21st to 25th April 2015 for students to start their own ventures and become job creators rather than job seekers. |

Day-1 (21st April 2015)
The event commenced with lightning ceremony and paying obeisance to Goddess Saraswati by the Chief Guest, Dr. Bhim Singh (HOD, Elec Engg, IIT Delhi) and Guest of Honor, Mr. A.D Pandey (Divisional Chairman, IIA). Dr. Bhim Singh rendered the key note address and defined entrepreneurs as a risk taker and the one who creates and matures his innovative skills for his benefit and for the prosperity of society. He emphasized the importance of time in one’s life and taking timely business risks for achieving success.

Mr. A.D Pandey, Guest of Honor defined entrepreneur as a “creator and innovator”. He categorized entrepreneurship in 4 major groups:
1. Manufacturing Entrepreneurship
2. Service Entrepreneurship
3. Trading Entrepreneurship
4. Employment Entrepreneurship |

Prof. TPN Singh, Advisor (R&D) gave a brief on the entrepreneurship program and listed out the achievements of the students on various project platforms. He conveyed his heartfelt thanks to the visiting dignitaries for their precious time. Dr. S.K. Bagga, Director, DGI welcomed the dignitaries and urged them to visit the college more often for sharing their wisdom with the students. Ms. Shivani Arora, Chief Coordinator rendered the vote of thanks. The inauguration session came to an end at 12:45 PM. |

The afternoon session was conducted by Mr. Ravi Gupta (Consultant-NIESBUD) who discussed “Entrepreneurship and Leadership in Global Market". He focused on Leadership and Communication as the key areas of this domain. |
|
Second session of the afternoon was debate competition and the topic was “Are Entrepreneurs born or created”. The students actively participated with great enthusiasm and vigor. Mr. Abhilash (ME-VI) won the competition. |

Day 2 (22nd April 2015)
Second day session was conducted by Mr. Anurag Mittal (Consultant-NIESBUD) on “Entrepreneurship and Employabilit”. He briefed the students about various organizations like MSME, NIESBUD, SIDBI & NABARD where one can acquire information on projects and gain knowledge towards funding.

Activity by Budding Entrepreneurs was held wherein student entrepreneurs shared their experiences with the audience. |

Day 3 (23rd April 2015)
Third day session was conducted by Mr. Govind Sharma, Chief (P&A) NRDC on “Technology Sourcing and Selection by Entrepreneurs”. He focused on how to help product innovators to commercialize their innovations.

Activity on “Pitching of business Ideas by students” was held wherein interested students pitched their ideas for incubation. The winner of the activity was Abhinav Vikash (ECE-VI). |

Day 4 (24th April 2015)
The fourth day session was conducted by Ms. Shikha Oberoi (Consultant-NIESBUD) on “Entrepreneurship Development Opportunities for Women”. She discussed how to increase economic opportunities for women entrepreneurs by supporting them in starting, strengthening and expanding their enterprises.

Activity on “Junkyard Wars” was held in which students came up with new ideas regarding waste management i.e. products from waste plastics, paper and rubber. The purpose of this event was to promote utilization of waste material by recycling and make new products which have commercial value.

The winner was Mr. Nagendra Pratap Singh (ME-VI). |

Day 5 (25th April 2015)
The fifth day session was conducted by Mr. R.K.Chandra (former chief Manager SBI) on “Role of DST, MSME & Banks in Promoting Entrepreneurship”. He explained how to make business plans and defined enterprise in micro, small and medium categories.

Activity on Business Quiz was conducted pertaining to entrepreneurship.
|
|
The winner was Mr. Ankit Kumar Yadav (EEE-VI). |

CLOSING CEREMONY:-
Closing ceremony was held on 25th April 2015 at 02:00 pm at the seminar hall. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. R.K. Yadav, Dy. Commissioner; UP Industries and Guest of Honor was Mr. Shishir Kumar Asst. Commissioner, UP Industries. |

Mr. R.K. Yadav in his address motivated the students to conjure creative projects and explained the facilities provided by the Government of India to start up one’s own company. He spoke about the incubation centres and exhorted the students to come of with meaningful and innovative projects.

Prof. T.P.N Singh Advisor (R&D) summed up the session with motivational words to students and encouraged them to pursue their passions. Prize distribution was held and winners of the events were awarded trophies and certificates were distributed to the participants. |
|
Ms. Shivani Arora, Assistant Professor rendered the vote of thanks. The event was highly successful as it equipped the participants with a greater sense of employability and Entrepreneurship The whole entrepreneurship week provided the much needed vigor & thrust to all budding entrepreneurs who are thriving to put forth their ideas in this competitive world.
