PARENT TEACHER MEETING

A Parent Teacher Meet for B.Tech 1st Year students was organized on 19th November, 2016 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. The objective of the meeting was to discuss students’ progress concerning academics, behavior, discipline and finding solution to any of their concern.

Prof. (Dr.) S.K Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida and Dr. Abhishek Swami, HOD - APS ensured individual and personalized attention to the concerns of the parents.

PTM started with discussion on the academic performance of students in First & Second Sessional Examinations, their regularity, punctuality, involvement in academic and extra - curricular activities. Prof. S.K Bagga, interacted with the parents and students and discussed methodologies for their wards so that they can perform better in all spheres. While addressing each student and parent, he laid stress on hard work for achieving their dreams.

The mentors informed the parents about the initiatives taken by the department in terms of the Industrial Visits, student’s participation in workshops, Seminars, Summer and Winter Training Programs, Project Competitions, etc. to ensure holistic development of every student. The parents were also informed about the extra classes being held in the evening from 3:30 – 5:00 pm as well as on Saturday. They were advised to counsel their wards so that they should avail this opportunities to improve their performance.

Parents were requested to be vigilant and in regular touch with the mentor of their ward as well as the HOD. Parents also requested the college to frequently organize such interactive sessions to help them to apprise themselves of their ward’s academic and personal growth.

The Parent Teacher Meet concluded on a satisfactory note with feedback from the parents and the appreciation for the disciplinary approach towards pursuit of Academic Excellence by the institute.
