SWEDEN INDIA MEMORIAL QUIZ

Sweden India Memorial Quiz was organized by the Embassy of Sweden at Indraprastha College for Women, New Delhi on 16th October 2015. In this quiz 786 students participated in a team of 3 members each from Delhi NCR. 15 students in 5 teams from Dronacharya Group of Institutions participated in this competition. The event was hosted by an architect, Kunal Savarkar. He began this competition with the First Round in which 25 questions were asked from all the teams. The teams were provided one answer sheet on which the students were supposed to write the correct answers of the questions. The questions were displayed on the projector and simultaneously articulated by Kunal Savarkar. The first round continued for 40 mins in which questions were asked from various fields of Sweden. All 25 questions catered to the spheres of History, Geography, Laureates & Litterateurs, Sports, Actors, Musicians, Leaders, Stamps, Trade, Machineries, and Films etc.

The answer sheets were submitted to the volunteers for evaluation and in the meantime Mr. Savarkar asked those twenty five questions verbally and random answers were received from the students at random choice. In this session Sourabh Kumar (B.tech I Year Mechanical) from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida received a prize for answering one question. At the end of this verbal round 5 teams were selected out of 262 teams. The finale was conducted in four rounds out of which one team reached in the National Finals.

The girls from Western Music Society presented their band performence and sang their self composed songs. The participants enjoyed this event and they were anticipated to take part in the next session with full-fledged preparation. In Valedictory Session the winners were felicitated with a Bouquet & Trophy.
