INDUSTRIAL VISIT

Sahasra Sambhav is a unique initiative from electronics industry professionals to prepare the youth for a career in the electronic industry by providing focused and industry specific skill enhancement training. The mission of ‘Sahasra Sambhav’ is to improve the quality and skills of young graduates which will enable them to be confident, determined and enthusiastic for a successful career in manufacturing. Sahasra Sambhav Skill Development, Noida offers a unique "E-dimension" program for 4/6/8 weeks summer training for Electronic Engineers in various sectors of electronic industry. It is a practical oriented Industry based program, where in engineers work practically inside electronic industry for learning the various technical aspects of Electronics Engineering.

Students (I & II year ECE) of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida visited Sahasra Sambhav Skill Development, Noida on 05 Oct 2015.

The visitors were welcomed by Mr. Ashish, Senior Executive of Sahasra Sambhav. The students were taken to a seminar room where Mr. Vikas, Training Specialist, gave a presentation on the process of designing of PCB. He briefed about the components used to make PCB and discussed the two types of machines which were used to place the components on PCB board. He also discussed the testing process of LED.

Students were divided in five groups of five members each after the seminar. They were sent to manufacturing units and R&D labs with protective clothing to cover body to provide insulation from any kind of electric shocks and damages. The manufacturing unit was spread over three floors, first floor houses the R&D Department, in second floor PCB manufacturing and testing was being done and on third floor LED manufacturing shop was located.

An expert in design and testing elaborated all the processes which were involved in manufacturing and testing of PCB and LED. The students had a practical and physical exposure of manufacturing and testing units of PCB and LED where workers were doing their jobs of assembling, designing and testing.

The visit was very useful for the students as they could practically see the PCB & LED manufacturing and testing. The faculty members thanked ‘Sahasra Sambhav’ for this fruitful visit organized for the students of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.
