Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in association with Indovision Services Pvt. Ltd., partnered with Huawei, conducted a workshop on Cloud Computing on 19th August 2015. The objective of the workshop was to create awareness among students about the different technologies used in Cloud Computing.
Mr. Hanuman Prasad Gupta, Sr. Trainer and Ms. Malvika, HR (Marketing Department) from Indovision Services Pvt. Ltd. were the resource persons for the event.
The guests were welcomed by Prof. (Dr.) S.K. Bagga, Director, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Ms. Malvika gave a general introduction and the purpose of the workshop. She discussed about the importance of this topic and the demand of the professionals dealing with cloud computing, in the industry.
Mr. Hanuman Prasad Gupta started the workshop with the introduction of Cloud Computing. He explained that cloud is a server providing services available anytime, anywhere that is placed remotely and the users need to pay for the service utilized per use. The workshop covered various features of Cloud Computing like Virtualization which could be full or partial Hardware and other associated features. He further discussed about types of Storage Technology like Redundant Array of Independent Disks (RAID) & Logical Unit Number (LUN) and demonstrated various websites which provide cloud services.
He also emphasized on Deployment Model and type of Cloud like Public, Private, Hybrid, Mobile Community and discussed the Applications of Cloud Computing like Software Application, Web Service, Platform Application etc.
Student carried out hands on experiments to gain an in depth understanding of the concepts. The workshop ended with Memento presentation to the resource persons.
