Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida organized a one day Seminar on Design Software: CATIA on 27th September 2013. The workshop was conducted by Mr. Digpal Singh Bisht, Executive Business Development, CADD Centre, & Mr. Jitendra Yadav, Executive–Technical. The objective of the seminar was to spread awareness about various Design software used by Mechanical industries and make students aware about CATIA software.

The faculty members and students attended the Seminar. At the outset Prof. D V Bhise, HOD, Mechanical Engineering Department introduced guest speaker Mr. Digpal Singh Bisht, & Mr. Jitendra Yadav, Executive –Technical. He also mentioned briefly about relevance and importance of organizing this seminar.

Mr. Digpal Singh Bisht conducted awareness session on CATIA. He discussed about prominent industries that uses CATIA for their product design.

Technical session was conducted by Mr. Jitendra Yadav who discussed in detail about various aspects of the software. Demonstration was given on various automobile products like: Crankshaft, Piston–Cylinder assembly, Cylinder block etc.
