MTU Lit Fest 2012 - 13

Mahamaya Technical University , Noida

Mahamaya Technical University, Noida organized an Inter College Lit Fest on 4th May 2013 at MTU Campus, Noida. The festival was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. S. K. Kak. Competitions were held in the following categories:

1. Debate ( Hindi and English)

2. Paper Presentation in English

3. Quiz

The topic for Hindi and English debate were :

1. Terrorism needs to be crushed with an Iron Hand.

2. Atomic Energy Plants are Atomic Bombs that can destroy mankind anytime.

3. Regional and Small Political Parties have destroyed the spirit of Democracy in India.

4. Attendance Requirement in Colleges should be abolished.

5. Corruption free India.

The topic “Corruption free India” was widely debated during the Hindi Debate Competition.

The quiz competition covered the areas - Sports, Bollywood, History and Mythology, Science and Technology, General Knowledge and Uttar Pradesh.

Students of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, Enakshi Bhati and Surbhi Bansal actively participated in the Quiz Competition.

Suraj Yadav’s presentation on Cyber Crimes won laurel from the participants and the judges.

Pankaj Singh’s arguments during the english debate “College attendance should be abolished” was highly appreciated.

Ashish Kumar Bajpai’s opinion during hindi debate “Bhrastachar Mukt Bharat ka Nirman Sambhav Hai” saw people putting forward their pro and against the motion view. The participants were highly appreciative of the initiative taken by the University to provide the students with such a golden opportunity. The students exhibited high degree of competence and winning attitude to make this fest a resounding success.

Prof. Kak emphasized on organizing many more of such events in future to facilitate a healthy competition between students from different colleges and make them culturally and academically sound. A large number of students got recognition at college level, cluster level and even at the state level.

Prof. S. K. Kak awarded the Participation certificates to the students for their efforts.
