All the students in our Institute take up meaningful projects from their third semester onwards, which have components of research, innovation, creativity, industrial or societal relevance. Some of these projects have resulted into good research papers or enterprises. Our “R & D Cell” advises, arranges and monitors the relevance and quality of the students’ projects. Some of the noteworthy projects recently carried by the students are:
(i) Spoke-less highly efficient bicycle.
(ii) Obstacle avoidance and automated speed controller of vehicles for preventing road accidents.
(iii) Electronically-controlled automatic and no-other-option use of helmet for the motorbike rider.
(iv) Operation of an elevator without the need of electric power.
(v) Cell-phone based area surveillance.
(vi) Puppet Master : to convert a cell phone into a remote control for Windows.
(vii) Emotion recognition of the people by computers.
(viii) Armaan operating system : an efficient alternative proprietary operating system; etc. |
