A seminar on Signal Processing & Communications using MATLAB and Simulink was held on 24th September, 2013 at Shangri-La’s- Eros Hotel, New Delhi. The seminar was conducted by The Math Works India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. Mr. Rajiv Ranjan, Associate Professor, Electrical & Electronics Engineering represented Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in this event.
The event was graced by Ms. Loren Shure, Principal MATLAB Developer, Dr. Mithun Bhaskar M, Senior Technical Evangelist, Mr. Tabrez Khan, Application Engineer, and Mr. Dhirendra Singh, Application Engineer.
The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Mithun Bhaskar with the lighting of the lamp of knowledge. He stated the session with a talk on different applications of MATLAB and Simulink.
Ms. Loren Shure, in her first keynote address, focused elegantly on “Teaching Computational Skills with MATLAB”. In her second key note address, after break, she continued with her topic and explained modeling and analysis of different types of electrical, electronic and mechanical systems using MATLAB.
Mr. Tabrez Khan emphasized on Project- Based Learning with MATLAB, Simulink and Low Cost Hardware. He demonstrated Digital Signal Processing toolbox with example of ECG Signal and other physiological signals along with filter design and analysis. Mr. Khan also illustrated Communication and Computer Vision Concepts using MATLAB and Simulink.
Mr. Dhirendra Singh emphasized on Teaching Control System Concepts using MATLAB and Simulink.
The session came to a close with the distribution of certificates and a closing speech by Dr. Mithun Bhaskar M.
