Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida organized National level project competition Technoblast-2013 on 23rd November 2013. The theme of the competition was “Energizing Technologies for social welfare”. It was overwhelming to witness large number of colleges participating in the program from across the country. |
|
Registration started at 08:30 am with participants bringing projects from long distances braving the onset of Delhi winters. The inaugural function took place as scheduled at 10:00 am. The program started by invoking the blessings of Lord Ganapati and lighting of the lamp. Ganesh stuthi permeated fragrance of knowledge and wisdom in the air. |

The Chief Guest of the function Dr. A.N. Goyal, General Manager, NTPC, Guest of Honors Dr. Subhasis Maji, Director, School of Engineering & Technology, IGNOU, Mr. Dinesh Batra, Associate Vice President, Moser Baer and Dr. R.N. Sharma, former Director, DGI, Greater Noida & Judges namely Dr. Nanhey Singh, Dr. M. Natarajan, Dr. D.K. Lobiyal, Dr. B.K. Kanaujia, Prof. Satish Chand, Dr. K Tamilmannan, Mr. Rahul Nimesh and Dr. Rajiv Kapoor were welcomed by Director of the Institute, Dr. M.S. Murali. |

Chief Guest Dr. A.N. Goyal delivered a motivating address and exhorted the students to become entrepreneurs by being innovative and practical oriented. Dr. M.S. Murali, Director, DGI, Greater Noida welcomed the visiting dignitaries and sponsors and complimented the students for the efforts put in towards the project competition. WgCdr Prof. TPN Singh gave a brief of the projects taking part in the competition and the prizes and sponsorship. He highlighted the essence of innovation and exhorted the students to participate whole heartedly. |

70 projects participated which were shortlisted out of a total of 210 projects received. These projects exhibited the essence of studious technical work performed by the students. They were interdisciplinary nature and used latest cutting technologies for their efficient outputs. The projects were evaluated for innovativeness, societal value, futuristic scope and commercial viability. |
|
Dr. Satish Yadav, Chairman - Dronacharya Group of Institutions graced the prize distribution ceremony. He addressed the audience and conveyed the need for industry interaction and for the exposure of students to latest technologies. Mr. Dinesh Batra conveyed his deep appreciation for the mega event and expressed his happiness towards quality of projects. He advised the students to be involved in project work as it would allow them to interface with industry easily. |
