WORKSHOP ON C

Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida is committed to transform engineers into achievers at the global level with right attitude towards changing societal need with technological aids. With this splendid intention, the Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities organized a one-day workshop on “Computer Concepts and Programming in C” on 9th April 2013 for the 1st year students. The workshop was conducted by CETPA Info Tech Pvt. Ltd. Noida.

Mr. Amit Shukla, Business Development Executive, and Md. Wasim Anwar, Senior Technical Expert, CETPA Info Tech Pvt. Ltd. were the resource persons. The objective of this workshop was to make the students aware aboutthe basic Computer concepts and to broaden their technical knowledge and skills in “C”

Welcoming the Guests, Prof. (Dr.) V. R Sood, Head of Department, Applied Sciences & Humanities, said that such workshops are important as they make students aware about new technologies. Mr. Amit Shuklastarted the session bygiving a brief description about the relevance of “C” for each technical branch along with its future advantages in the Embedded Technologies. Later Md. Wasim Anwar explained in detail various core concepts of “C” along with their practical implementation. He started with the note “C is the Mother of all computer languages “. He carried out the session through the concepts of Operating System, Branching, Looping, Arrays, Pointers, Functions and Strings.

The second session was interactive with students posingqueries which were resolved by both the experts. Overall the session was great, overwhelming with ideas, communicative and an interestingexperience for all the students.

At the end of the workshop Prof. (Dr.) V. R Sood , HOD APS gave a vote of thanks .
