During the Automation session, trainers demonstrated Allen Bradley, Siemens / Modicon / Mitshubishi PLCs, Wonderware'sIntouch / RSView PLCs and SCADA sotwares. They also provided some knowledge about Source & Sink Concepts, Forcing of I/Os, Fault finding / troubleshooting, Net DDE Communication, Application of scripts etc.

During the Building Management session, they gave an overview regarding Refrigeration Cycle, Fixed Air Volume & Variable Air Volume Applications, Psychrometry, Fire Detection & Alarm Systems, Access Control System, CCTV Surveillance Systems and Gas Suppression Systems. This session impressed the students most as it had knowledge of the systems that students see in their daily life.

The session on Embedded Systems session saw technocrats from Sofcon give lecture on Microcontroller Family- AVR, PIC, 8051, Embedded C & Assembly Language, Memory organization, Robotics introduction, Chip level & Component level electronics, Introduction to ARM 32 bit microcontroller, GPS & GSM Technology interfacing. This attracted the electronics students very much and they founded it most suitable field for future.

The students were then taken into actual workshop of control panels containing PLCs, working real time operating systems in automation applications, real-time robots used in automobile industries etc.

The visit helped the students in discerning their domains after studies and to choose a right segment for their future scope.
