MBA Department of Dronacharya Group of Institutions Greater Noida organized a One Day Workshop on “Universal Human Values” on 11th October 2013. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Kumar Sambhav (Ph.D., M.Tech. - IIT Kanpur). Students of MBA, MCA and B. Tech attended the program. The objective of the workshop was to promote ethics and human values which are required to meet the needs of the modern crises.

The session began with Dr. Kumar Sambhav’s interaction with the students about human values and their importance in a person’s life. He explained the challenges that are disrupting traditional values and creating conflict between traditional and modern values. He discussed the relationship between ‘VALUES’ and ‘SKILLS’ to ensure sustained happiness and prosperity which are the core aspirations of all human beings.

In the second session Dr. Sambhav differentiated between “What I am?” and “What I really want to be? Students actively participated and brainstormed themselves in responding to Dr. Sambhav. There was also an interactive session on “What are more important physical facilities or relationships?” The students talked about Human consciousness, Anthology of Physical Facilities and Relationships and Right Understanding. This segment of the session highlighted the importance of understanding and the balance of physical facilities and relationships. He emphasized on the role of relationships in getting satisfaction in social and personal life.

Dr. Sambhav facilitated the holistic perspective among the students towards life, profession and happiness based on the correct understanding of the human reality. He highlighted plausible implications of such a holistic understanding in terms of ethical human conduct, trustful and mutually satisfying human behavior and mutually enriching interaction with Nature.
