ENGINEERING EDUCATION AND RESEARCH SEMINAR

 

HOTEL PARK INN, GURGAON

 

30th JULY 2015

   

A one day Seminar on “Engineering Education and Research” was organized by National Instruments at Hotel Park INN, Gurgaon on 30th July 2015. Mr. Avichal Kulshreshtha, Department of Marketing, National Instruments presented a paper. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the software and modules developed by the National Instruments and their utility in education and research sector. Mr. Gaurav Siwal, Assistant Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, & Mr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida attended the seminar.

 

SESSION 1

10:00 AM – 11:30 AM

The session began with an introduction of all the delegates and paper presenters. Mr. Avichal Kulshrestha discussed briefly about National Instruments and stated that the company mainly deals in control systems. He discussed vital elements of Control System namely measurement and control I/O, math and analysis, user interface, targets, commercial technology and models of computation. He had also introduced a “lab view tool”, which is multipurpose and user friendly interface software. His demonstration on EMF generated by a thermocouple sustained participants’ interest during the seminar.

 

SESSION 2

12:00 NOON- 1:00 PM

In the second session, Mr Avichal Kulshrestha continued with lab view tool by introducing module kits like NI compactDAQ, NI myDAQ, NI compactRIO, and NI myRIO.

 

He gave various examples from different research fields like advance control system, power electronic system, noise, vibration, harshness, robotics, engine control and automotive.

 

SESSION 3

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

In this session Mr. Avichal continued his discussion by giving few more examples from various fields like RF / wireless communication system, structural health monitoring and biomedical signal processing.

 

At the end of the session Mr. Avichal Kulshrestha welcomed various questions from the audience and satisfied them by giving logical answers.
