DRONACHARYA GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS, GREATER NOIDA

 

National Robotics Competition: ROBOTRYST 2015

 

IIT- Delhi

 

February 27th – March 2nd, 2015

   

Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida, organized a two day Workshop on Mobile Controlled Robotics: Advanced Level during 25th - 26th September, 2014 in the college premises. It was conducted by i Sec Systems Private Limited.

 

Its finale was held at the National Level Championship during Tryst-The Annual Technical Festival of IIT-Delhi under the banner of “ROBOTRYST-2015”, during February 27th – March 2nd , 2015.

 

Participants of this event were selected well in advance in the prelims round of this competition conducted by Mr. Viswajit Singh Rana and Mr. Chandan Raja, Senior Research Engineers, i Sec Systems Private Limited, in two days workshop during 25th - 26th September, 2014 in our college premises. Three teams from our institution comprising the following Students were registered for the event on 27th February, 2015. They displayed their Robotics Programming and Designing skills during the event. The event was coordinated by Mr. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering. DGI, Gr. Noida.

About 225 Teams from all over the country had undergone through a healthy competition of ROBO RACE. The programmed Robot had to follow a designated zig–zag path in minimum time, first automatically, then with the control of Android Phone. This was the basis of selection of top three teams. All the teams were mentored adequately for facing the various rounds at the competition. Our teams competed for the final round on 28th February, 2015. Their work was appreciated by the judges. The experience they got in such a great platform is going to pay them off in long run.

 

Students are looking forward to participate in many more events like this, that their talent is utilized and they keep on learning.
