Sarika Gupta, Asst. Professor, Department of Information Technology, attended a One Day National Workshop on Big Data Analytics, organized by Amity University in their campus on 8th March 2013.

Big data is a new challenge for the IT industry and the strategies to manage it. The workshop witnessed participants from several regions including Indore, Jharkhand, Alwar and Bangalore. The Expert Speakers from Amity School of Engineering and Technology (ASET), JNU, STPI and key policy makers from reputed MNC’s like BHEL, Impetus, Mahindra Comviva, Sopra Group and IBM Research Labs addressed the audience and deliberated on the contemporary challenges in Big Data Analytics.

The workshop content also included discussion and hands on session on Hadoop. The workshop was a professionally enriching and a great learning experience.
