Vrindavan – Mathura Trip

Some people are born into wonderful families. Others have to find or create them. Being a member of a family is a priceless membership that we pay nothing for but love. - Jim Stovall

A One Day Excursion Trip for the staff members of Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida and their families was organized on 25th January 2013.

The trip was not merely an excursion but also a journey encompassing a greater understanding of each other, peer bonding, strengthening the existing bonds that we share as the close knit Dronacharya Family. It was an opportunity to introduce our families, to the professional family that we belong to. The trip was also a welcome break from our hectic academic schedules, and the chosen venue was none other than the pious and peaceful, Holy Vrindavan, the land of Shri Radha Krishna.

The members assembled in the college at 7:30 Hrs. The group reached Vrindavan - the first point of visit, enjoying Antakshari and other fun activities all through the way.

Vrindavan has an ancient past, associated with Hindu history and is an important Hindu pilgrimage site. It is believed that the essence of Vrindavan was lost over time until the 16th century, when it was rediscovered by Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.

The places visited in Vrindavan were :

Banke Bihari Temple          Nidhi Vana          Sewa Kunj

After the Vrindavana visit, Lunch for the group was arranged at Basera Restaurant, where delectable snacks and sumptuous lunch was served to the staff and their families.

The next stoppage for the group was Mathura. The places visited at Mathura were:

Dana Ghati Giriraja Mandir          Raman Reti

At Raman Reti staff members offered prayers at Shiva and Krishna Balarama Temple. They had the privilege of being offered Prasad at Annapurna Bhandar (The Lord’s Kitchen)

Altogether it was a very refreshing trip for the members.
