SEED PROGRAM

A four day workshop on IBM Rational SEED Program was organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions for the staff members of CSE and IT Department. IBM Rational SEED is a coveted program of IBM academic initiative through which Institutions worldwide avail IBM Rational software, the software development lifecycle platform used for Software Design, Development, Software Testing, & Deployment of innovative software solutions through implementation of the best practices of software engineering.

The IBM Rational SEED Workshop covered IBM Rational software CASE tools & training on visual modeling using UML/OOAD. The workshop was attended by ten faculty members from CSE and IT Department, accompanied by twelve students from CSE Final year.

It was a great learning opportunity for the staff members who got access to market-leading IBM Rational tools and technologies to enable a rich teaching environment. They were also provided with instructor led training supplemented with in-depth instructor and student course materials that makes it fast and easy to teach.

The students from the Final year were highly benefitted from the workshop as the training helped them with their final year project report documentation, and also helped them build required skills for career success and gain hands-on experience with IBM Rational tools. They had very interactive sessions, with their queries on the utilization of right tool for the task when completing assignments, course-related research projects and original papers were all satisfied by the experienced IBM Trainer, Mr. Amit Daharwal.

The workshop covered following modules:

1. Rational Software Architect (RSA)

2. Rational Suite Enterprise

The overall satisfaction level of the students and staff was very high, and the Hands On case based learning sessions provided them rich insight into the fine nuances of using the software for their project and development work.
