An Industrial Visit to Honda Cars India Ltd., Greater Noida was organized on 9th September, 2016 under the banner of SAE India by Department of Information Technology, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. Twenty two students of CSIT and IT branch along with Dr. Aditi Paul, Assistant Professor, Department of IT visited the plant.

Mr. Sanyog Negi, senior staff member of Honda welcomed the students and briefed about the Honda Car India Ltd. He said that HCIL's first manufacturing unit was set up at Greater Noida, U.P in 1997. The project is spread across 150 acres and has an annual production capacity of 120,000 units. He showed various models of four wheelers that are manufactured in the plant. Mr. Negi revealed that Honda Car ltd. is consistently maintaining its quality of product from all aspects.

Mr.Negi took the students for a visit to the manufacturing section, testing section, welding section and painting section of the plant. He explained each of these sections and showed how cars are assembled and finally tested before delivering to the customer.

In welding section Mr. Negi showed the robots which were performing all the welding activities for different models. He demonstrated and explained how these robots are operated through interfaces. The students enjoyed this section a lot as the robots were really exciting.
