PARENT TEACHER MEET

A Parent Teacher Meet for B.Tech 1st Year students was held on 28th September, 2013 at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida.

The purpose of this meet was to develop a healthy interaction between parents and faculty members which may lead to the improvement of their ward’s performance in the initial stages of college life.

Performance of students in first sessional exams, their involvement in academics and extra-curricular activities were the points of discussion during the meeting. With suggestion from the parents it was decided to have extra classes after regular working hours.

Parents were requested to be more vigilant and to stay in regular touch with the mentor of their ward as well as the head of the department.

Several parents suggested that information about their ward’s attendance, performance in the class, etc. should be intimated to them either by e-mail or SMS. They also requested to organize more such interactive sessions so that they could monitor the academics and personal growth of their wards.

The response from parents were encouraging.
