A Workshop on USING INFORMATION FOR DECISION MAKING was organized by PHD Chamber Of Commerce and Industry on 31st May, 2013 at PHD House, August Kranti Marg, New Delhi-110016. Dr. Vijay Rani Sood, HOD, Applied Science and Humanities Department represented Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida at the coveted event which had thirty two participants comprising of Research Scholars, Corporates, Academicians, etc.

The objective of the workshop was to prepare employees, who could take quick and right decision to take up positions of greater responsibility ensuring better career prospects and appropriate growth of organization.

The event was flanked by distinguished speakers from National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla and Defense Services Staff College, Wellington.

The session was chaired by Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) Rohit Agarwal, a certified professional trainer from Army War College, College of Military Communications and Technology, and College of Materials Management.

The workshop was divided into two sessions; first session was of Decision –Making Process and Information Collection. The objective of this session was to determine which decision making process would be applicable at particular moment. It helped the participants to identify and take the right decision and choose the right path amongst many available.

The second session was on “Tools in decision-making and information collection”. The main objective of this session was to apply a structured decision –making process and some common tools for decision- making and information – collecting.

The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants.
