A one day workshop on Career Options for Technocrats in Defence Forces was organized under the ages of ISTE Student Chapter, Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 08th April 2017 for 3rd and 4th Year students. 51 students of ECE, EEE, CSE, CSIT, IT, ME and Civil Departments attended the session which was conducted by Lt. Col. Tejender Singh.

Prof. (Dr.) S. K. Bagga, Director - DGI Greater Noida welcomed Lt. Col. Singh and advised the students to attend the lecture with sincerity and reap advantage of this lecture.

Lt. Col. Singhstarted his session with the introduction to Armed Forces, SSB Centers and types of entries. He explained the selection procedure in detail.

He further discussed about different phases of SSB in chronological order starting with:

1. Psychological Test in which he explained about word association test, narration of story, picture perception and group discussion test.

2. Thematic Apperception Test - where 10 pictures are shown on which students have to write the stories.

3. Group Discussion.

Lt. Col. Tejender Singh then explained in detail about the G.T.O Task and the Interview session. He discussed in detail about the Group Planning Exercise, Group Task, Group Discussion, Progressive Group Task, Group Obstacle Rave, Half Group Task, Lecturette, Individual Obstacle, Command Task, Final Group Task; Group Discussion. He also discussed some Group Discussion topics. He encouraged students to develop officer like quality like courage, self - confidence, determination, honesty and leadership.

It was an enlightening session in which Lt. Col. Tejender Singh shared his rich experience.
