The sixth edition of World DIDAC India and Asian Summit on Education and Skills was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from 10th to 12th September, 2014.

Faculty members from Department of Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Midhun Chithambaran and Mr. Anurag Sharma and Mr. Shiv Bhushan from Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering along with 40 students of Mechanical and Electronics Engineering branch attended the exhibition.

The event was a global showcase of products and solutions that brings together the entire education and training fraternity on a single common platform thus creating synergies for further progress of the sector. The focus was on all levels of education from Primary level to Vocational Training and aims at addressing the current needs of the Indian education and training sector and thus facilitate in channelizing the reforms.

The event emphasized on various relevant topics like quality in education, importance of investing in technology and infrastructure, teachers training, teaching-learning resources, comprehensive curriculum, VET, academic & administrative governance structure & practices.

The exhibition had the presence of prominent exhibitors from India and more than 15 countries to showcase latest and innovative education & training solutions, latest methodology, technology, contemporary educational advances & services that aid learning, teaching & skill improvement. The event is supported by NCERT and the NIOS.

Students visited Festo Controls Pvt. Ltd. a German based company that has representation in 59 countries, provides solutions for industrial automation, process automation, electrical drives and controls showcased their fineness in the area of automation. Festo being a company dedicated to educational purposes demonstrated their advancements and their products.

WORLD DIDAC-INDIA 2014 was a great platform for students and academician because it provided an update on  global overview of education, training trends and products to enhance the educational standards and practices by implementing new concepts.

The opportunity for experiencing the innovations and new class defining products enlarged the horizon of knowledge and will certainly help to teach the students with the phase of advancing world.
