WIE MEET-2015 was organized by WIE Affinity Group, IEEE Student Branch of Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering, New Delhi on March 14th, 2015. The objective of the meet was to facilitate the recruitment and retention of women in technical disciplines globally. IEEE WIE envisions a vibrant community of IEEE women and men collectively using their diverse talents to innovate for the benefit of humanity. DGI faculty member Ms. Lily Gupta, Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering along with Ms. Sakshe Peer, student from Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering attended the program.

In the inaugural session Ms. Yogita Arora, Department of ECE briefed about the WIE activities to be carried out and explained the execution plan of the events. Ms. Rashmi Anand, a renowned author of 11 books, counselor and consultant was the chief guest of the event. She is the recipient of many awards like CNN-IBN Achiever Award, Zindagi Live Award, Doordarshan’s Women Achiever Award, Aadhi Abaadi, Baat Naari Ki and many more.

BVPIEEE, Delhi Section branch members gave their branch presentation highlighting all their contributions in motivating students, especially women to choose engineering as their profession.

Various non-technical activities like Finding Namo, General Brain Storming, Quiz Competitions, Group Discussion, Photograph Session and many more were conducted. These activities kept every student involved and energetic throughout the event. Winning teams of different activities were given prizes as a token of appreciation.

An open discussion was also conducted regarding the problems that WIE members are facing and their expected solutions regarding organizing WIE meet event. The ceremony came to an end with distribution of certificates.
