A workshop was organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering for the Pre-Final and Final Year students of Mechanical Engineering on 03/10/2011. The Resource Person was Mr. Nitin Dharmadhikari DGM, (Supply Chain management) from Control & Switchgear (efacec). The topic was “Employers perception and Expectation towards Engineering Graduates”. The programme commenced with the welcome address by D. V. Bhise, Head of the Department Mechanical Engineering. The Speaker explained the requirements of the industry from fresh engineers and how they must prepare themselves accordingly. He stressed upon the skills required in functional and operational areas. This was explained in minute detail to the students.
There was a question answer session and the students were very participative. The workshop was extremely informative and the students have benefited immensely. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. T. P. N. Singh and thereafter college memento was presented to Mr. Dharmadhikari.
Mr. Dharmadhikari has agreed for accepting the students for industrial visits.
At the end it was agreed upon mutually to have a long lasting relationship in benefit of the students. |
