BOSCH Training Program

Automotive Aftermarket Training

 

February 17th - 21st, 2014

 
 

34 Students of VI semester Mechanical Engineering branch got the opportunity to get trained by BOSCH. This hands - on training program not only enhanced their knowledge about the working of engines but also honed their technical skills in the working environment of Bosch Ltd. under the one week training program during 17th - 21st February, 2014.

 

Bosch Limited is India’s largest automotive component manufacturer and also one of the largest Indo – German companies in India. Bosch Limited manufactures and trades in all the three major business sectors of Bosch:

1. Automotive Technology (Diesel and Gasoline Fuel Injection Systems, Car Multimedia Systems, Auto Electricals and Accessories, etc.)

2. Industrial Technology (Packaging Machines, Solar Energy, etc)

3. Consumer Goods and Building Technology (Power Tools, Security Systems)

 

Summary of Training:-

For first three days students got training on:

1. Fuel pump, fuel injection system of a diesel engine,

2. Synchromesh Gear box

3. Ignition system

4. common rail diesel injection

5. Auto-electrical components like alternator, starter, battery-working and testing.


For next two days hands on training was given to students in state of the art BOSCH regional training centre located at Mathura road Delhi.

 

Students were very much involved and took keen interest during the training program.

 

Key Learnings from Training Program:-

Apart from the conventional classroom teaching, the training program emphasized on imparting practical knowledge, which was indeed a great help to the students. Students were kept abreast of important developments happenings in the automobile sector through this training program. Along with these topics they were made aware of the advancements in the modern engines which are done with the aim of achieving maximum power and increasing the life of engines.
