Organized joint workshop on

“Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme”

 

 

 

National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC), A Govt. of India Enterprise, conducted a workshop at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida on 24 Jan 2012. The workshop titled “Entrepreneurship Orientation Programme” was conducted by:-

 
 

(a) Mr. Chandan Kumar Singh - Deputy Manager, Marketing, NSIC.

(b) Mr. Devendra Kumar Gautam – Asstt. Manager, Technical Services, NSIC.

Two films on Entrepreneurship Orientation & Development were shown to the audience. They were the reflection of finer aspects of Entrepreneurship and how an idea can be developed to a marketable product for the benefit of the community. Salient features of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises were described. The efforts towards becoming an entrepreneur were brought out and about 20 products were shown which could be taken up as a product for the Entrepreneurship projects ranging from Ash Bricks, Food Processing Industry, Packaging, Nut & Bolts etc.

       

Presentation was rendered by the resource person on NSIC regarding the training modules for students & the incubation centers. The various training modules namely on Machine Operations, Metrology, CNC experiments, CAD were described in detail which was of extreme benefit to the students for their vocational training. Incubation centers were also shown in details pertaining to the entire process of making a product from inception stage to the final manufacture. NSIC in collaboration with various private partners have opened large number of incubation centers where an idea developed is led to fruition.

       

 

 

Objectives of the Workshop:

1. To create awareness of NSIC model of incubation for setting up new business enterprises.

2. To guide students for career options and help them to select career boosting courses.

3. To motivate engineering graduates for self employment.

4. Opportunity for identification of appropriate technology.

5. To create awareness about industry structure before starting business.

6. To enhance the entrepreneurial and managerial skills of the students.

       
       

The methodology of submitting the report, acquiring of finance, licensing, subsidy and establishing the manufacturing line was explained to the students in detail.
