PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry New Delhi organized 3rd National Summit on Academia Corporate Interface for Upskilling Leaders Tomorrow with the objective of Lets Work Together For Better Future on 10th December 2013. The basic objective of the summit was to bridge the gap between Academia and Industry and make the students Industry Ready. Dr. Monika Sharma and Dr. Shilpi Saxena was delegated from Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida to attend the Summit.

The event contained four sessions including Inaugural and three technical sessions. The program began with the welcome address by Mr. Sharad Jaipuria Senior Vice President, PHD Chamber. In his address he highlighted the achievements and brief history of PHD Chamber. He also pointed out that the biggest passion in education industry is to create leaders for the future.

Mr. Amit Gupta, Chairman, Education Committee, PHD Chamber discussed the Theme Presentation. Prof. Dinesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, University of Delhi gave the Key Note Address and defined Education in a philosophical way with practical approach. He advocated that Education is a self discovery and journey of inner self. He proved this dimension of Education by giving and quoting the live examples of great personalities like Mahatma Gandhi, Shri Ram Krishna Param Hans, Gautam Buddha, Saint kabir and Tulsi Das. He emphasized on the practical aspect of education and application of knowledge in real life situations. He also discussed the relationship between knowledge and Skills.

Mr. Saurabh Sanyal, Executive Director, PHD Chamber delivered Vote of Thanks.

The Topic for Second Technical Session was Building Capacity for Digital Education- Leveraging Private and Public Resources. The experts for this session discussed Digitization of Education in Digital Learning Process. They also emphasized that Industry should also participate in designing the curriculum.

The Third Technical Session was based on Industry Intervention and Linkages in curriculum Reforms & Learning Outcomes in which the speakers discussed the role of technology in making the education smart and stress free. They also stated that teacher cannot be replaced by technology but simultaneously teacher should be equipped with technology to make his teaching effective and interesting.

The summit provided a common platform to Industrialist, Academicians, Policies Makers, Scholars and students to discuss and share their view point in terms of Quality Education, Technology, Employability and Academic Environment to make India Global Educational Leader.
