Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida hosted a session on “WHAT NEXT - Preparing for Interviews and Higher Studies together“ conducted by ‘LOTUS EDU SERVICES’ on February 19th, 2014 for B.Tech – CSE and IT - 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year.

Lotus Edu services Pvt. Ltd. is the education wing of the prestigious Lotus Group of Companies run by CA Ashish Mittal (Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University) and Ms. Poonam Mittal (IMT-Ghaziabad, L.L.B -Taxation).

Mr. Ravindrababu Ravula, Ex Senior Software Engineer - CISCO Systems and Academic Director, Lotus Edu Services Pvt. Ltd. along with Ms. Udaya Lakshmi Lavu , Ex Senior Software Developer - ORACLE and Director of Lotus Edu Services Pvt. Ltd. were the resource person.

The sessions started at 10:30 AM with a brief about the company and the visiting officials. Mr. Ravula explained the need of higher studies in the present scenario. He explained that B.Tech is just a undergraduate degree and the motive should be to upgrade it to the next level of Post Graduation. He stated that all the major Public Sector Companies like Hindustan Petroleum, VIZAG Steel, Indian Oil hire through GATE. The starting package is 6 Lakhs P.A. in these PSUs’.

He further stated that the key is to prepare for the higher studies and the interviews together. Someone might have scored very well in GATE but if he/she is not presentable, the interview jury does not consider him/her. Substantial time should be given to the fact that interviews are equally important and should not be overlooked.

It was a very interactive session in which the students shared their challenges and fears of higher studies and the interviews.
