To equip the students with sound concepts of Basic Sciences, a strong bed rock is required. That is what Applied Sciences & Humanities Department at DGI has been doing. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty who have vast knowledge bank. Each Faculty has a number of publications and paper presentations to their credit. The department puts emphasis on Faculties’ involvement in latest developments and research in their respective fields.

Continuous upgradation of knowledge is done through Conferences, Seminars, Short Term Training Programmes and Workshops at National and International level. In order to provide experimental knowledge, laboratories have the latest equipment.

   
 

Students are encouraged to represent the college at different level in various activities such as Paper Presentations, Workshops, Seminars, etc.

   
 

To provide quality technical education, besides taking care of the syllabus, the Department emphasizes on:

1. Regular courses on personality development

2. Seminars to improve communication skills

3. Ample scope for co-curricular and extra-curricular activities

4. Need based and Value Added Special Training Program in the campus

5. Programmes for enhancing teaching skills of faculty
