“Opportunities of Electronics Engineers – How to target them”

A Seminar on “Opportunities of electronics engineers – How to target them” was organized by Electronics & Communication Engineering Department jointly with Sambhav Industrial Skill Development on 19th April 2012.
The Key Speakers of the Seminar were Mr. Dheeraj Kapoor and Mr. Somen Chakraborthy fromSambhav Industrial Skill Development. The main focus was to share industry scenarios & gave an insight on the various trends and ways to achieve the desired targets in the industry. As industry has become a growing tree which is spreading its roots in India as well as the complete world. Electronics Hardware Industry expects to scale up by 2015–16, from current turnover of US$ 30 billion to US$ 320 billion, with employment increasing from 1.5 million direct and 3.0 million indirect to 7.14 million direct and 14.00 million indirect. Which means the requirements for the electronics engineers will increase immensely. The space in the industry although cannot be found so effortlessly without the required Skills. The industry is no more a baby like the early 90’s. It’s a grown up system which only allows entry to the skilled professionals.
The Key Speakers emphasised that a gap exists between Industry and Institute which is widening every day but the fresher needs a bridge where they can make way to the desired industry. Industries are short of skilled manpower because fresh graduates passing out from various technical colleges are not employable.
