BLOOD DONATION CAMP

With a view to avail a chance to serve the society, a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp was organized by Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida in association with Rotary Blood Bank, New Delhi on January 18, 2012. It got an overwhelming response from its staff and students who donated voluntarily at the one-day camp.

Dr. Tajinder Singh from Rotary Blood Bank said: "Blood transfusion saves lives, but millions of patients needing this do not have timely access to safe blood. However, it is estimated that donation by 1% of the population is on average the minimum needed to meet a nation's most basic requirements for blood. As such, if such camps become ideal followings, patients being treated for accidents, surgery, premature deliveries, needing platelets etc will certainly have 100% chances of gaining speedy recovery. In fact, every one of us is getting a chance to save four lives by donating one unit (350ml) of blood."

College takes pride in thanking all its students and staff members who made the Blood Donation Camp .The joy of giving is something beyond words. Donating blood and saving a precious life is an exhilarating feeling. This noble work would help in saving many lives.
