The DGI TECHFEST 2012 was celebrated with a lot of fanfare at the campus. It was inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Sharma, CEO Adani Gas Ltd. at 10 a.m on 22nd March. The vivacious three day event saw participation from several colleges across NCR. Techfest 2012 was organized on the theme “Mother Earth”and the related social responsibility that is the need of the hour.
Events like Online Gaming, Treasure Hunt, Quiz, Tech-Quilla, Extmpore, Technovision, Design Pro, CAD VENTURE, “Techno-Vision” the Technical Paper presentations, and many more events were held.
Mr. Swapn Sharma and Ms. Riddhi of Dronacharya Group of Institutions won the First Prize for their paper presentation on the Topic “Android Mobile Surveillance System”.
Mr. Anoop and Mr. Ankit from Dronacharya College of Engineering, Gurgaon were adjudged the first runner up for their paper “Android Operating System Applications”.
Cultural events like Rangoli, Extempore, Collage making and Poster Making also saw tremendous response across all branches of engineering undergraduates.
The festivities came to a close on 24th March 2012, with the Prize Distribution ceremony, presided over by Hon’ble Chairman Sir, Dr. Satish Yadav. In his address, he stressed upon the importance of team spirit to be inculcated in all walks of life. He congratulated the winners and participants of various events.
