Mr. Anurag Sharma welcomed the participants who had come from far and wide. He explained the purpose of the program and the felicitation ceremony for the achievers. Dr. Naresh Gill gave the inaugural address and expressed his gratitude to the panel members for their gracious presence. Lighting of the lamp took place and thereafter he informed on the genesis of KRDWG. The organization started in 2011 with the prime objective of reaching out to the deep rural pockets and offering them opportunities for growth and identifying hidden talents. Every human being has aspirations but opportunities are available to only about 30%. People residing in urban areas are fortunate to have access to the benefits of life in terms of growth, technology, health care, primary & higher learning. This lop sidedness must be tempered by the lucky few to contribute and substantially reduce the divide to make the society a better place for all. |
Mr. Ajay Bajaj spoke on Business mentoring. His is a story of rags to riches. He started his journey of life as a courier boy and in a span of 20 years rose to the regal position of Head of LG division (India). He is a proponent of learning that is acquired from the roads and not in class rooms. Tenacity and assiduousness was the mantra of success. The perseverance of a beggar was an example wherein he will not (most of the times) relent till he receives some alms. There is a plethora of resources and to use it optimally and intelligently is the problem facing all of us. |
Mr. Debashish Das addressed on Transformational HR Outsourcing who represented Service provider sector. Human capital should necessarily provide great support to entrepreneurial growth. Earlier manufacturing provided impetus to National GDP along with other sunrise sectors namely telecom, insurance etc. Presently IT oriented sectors are the service providers who are generating revenue through people. However, he lamented that most entrepreneurs performing par excel lance do not employ human capital for notable functions like HR etc. Examples are Naukri.com, Yatra.com, Educom etc. The fundamental mindset of an entrepreneur is of Dashanan (Ravana with ten heads), “I am capable of performing all functions myself”. Industry requires Intrepreneurs to act like entrepreneurs in their organizations. He exhorted Gen Y to partner small companies for co-creation.

Prof. Banwet delved into Advance Training strategies and Techniques for Human Capital Development. One has to be always in the learning mode. There are different levels of perception of Quality. Creation of assets from waste to wealth e.g. The Rock Garden of Chandigarh (Nek Chand creation). One must stir milk and get cream and not water and get nothing. He explained decisions made under uncertainty and remarked that future is always uncertain. |
Mr. Kamakesh Kallakal has evolved a new concept of Unlearning. Unlearning can provide integrated learning. Unlearning has helped him to innovate and take calculated risks in life. In our country new ideas move at a sluggish pace and this causes a mismatch between us and others. Learning is difficult so how unlearning can be easy. His book on Unlearning is very well received by public. |
Mr. Sajal Dhir spoke on the effectiveness of coaching and mentoring in optimization of productivity. He candidly brought out the various aspects of Teaching, Training, Coaching and Mentoring. Knowledge and skill base has to be acquired in full measure. The relationship between mentor and protégé is unique and need not depend on close geographical proximity e.g. Dronacharya and Eklavya. |
Mr. Luthra, Charterted accountant runs an NGO i.e. Golf Foundation. He has nurtured ball pickers in golf course and mentored them to become international celebrities like Vijay Kumar, Shubam and Chikkaragappa. Presently, Vijay Kumar is a professional golfer with earnings in millions of dollars. Shubham, a small boy of 9 years was present in the audience who has won 18 international junior titles and felicitated by President of India. |
