National Level Project Competition
AVALON-2013
 
 

National Level Project Competition “AVALON-2013” was organized by Terna Engineering College, Nerul Navi Mumbai in association with Computer Society of India on 15th & 16th March, 2013. The main objective of this competition was to acknowledge students with emerging ideas in this fascinating and expanding world of science and engineering. Thus this festival manifested the conglomeration of talent, intellect, innovative and competitive spirit of the students. Mr. Sanjay Nayak, Sr. Manager Siemens, Mumbai was the Chief Guest for the event. The Jury Panel included experts from various reputed organizations like Hexaware, IIT Bombay and Secure Matrix.

 

The competition was divided in two main events namely, Project Competition and Technical Paper Presentation.

 

The Project and Paper presentation was segregated into three different streams:

 

Computer & Information Technology that included concepts like Distributed Systems, Adhoc and Sensor Networks, Artificial Neutral Networks, Nano Technologies, Cyber Security, Cloud Computing and Surface Technology; Electronics and Telecommunication that included concepts like Signal Processing, VLSI & Embedded Systems, RFID, Power Electronics, Digital Image Processing and 3G/4G Communications; and Aviation and Mechanical that included concepts like Advances in Design Engineering, Advances in Fluid and thermal Engineering, Automation, Energy Conservation, CAD, CAM, CAE and Robotics.

 

Students from all across India participated in this Competition. Shubham Dixit and Jyoti Raghav, students from Department of Information Technology, represented Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida. They demonstrated the project “AUGMENTED REALITY IN CLASS ROOM LEARNING” in the competition.

 

The programme concluded with an Award Ceremony. Awards were presented to the winning teams by the Chief Guest and Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida was also announced as 2nd runner up for the event.
