Microsoft organized an outreach program at Dronacharya Group of Institutions, Greater Noida to create awareness for its product Xbox 360 on 20th December 2013.

Mr. Hemant Sharma and his team from Xbox set up a temporary installation in the campus. Mr. Sharma said that the objective of the outreach program was to engage consumers by making them experience the product. Microsoft’s entry into the video game industry exemplifies the firm’s implementation of robust adaptive strategies. Instead of only focusing on operating systems and computer software, Microsoft has expanded to other business ventures in the gaming industry.

Mr. Sharma while demonstrating the product said that because of an established financial base, Microsoft has plenty of room to experiment in various industries. Also, Microsoft has become proficient at parallelism and experimentation, allowing it to easily find high peaks throughout industries. The firm used its software expertise as its “common base of knowledge” in the development of the Xbox.

Students and staff enjoyed the hands on playing experience of Xbox 360. It brought games and entertainment to life in extraordinary new ways - no controller required. A competition was also organized by Microsoft for its product which was won by Nageshwar Singh, B.Tech ME 7th Sem.
